The service

The workshop comes to the job.

Some projects cannot be brought to our workshop in Cheshire. For those jobs, we bring the specialist cutting and profiling equipment to you.

Our mobile porcelain and stone fabrication service covers on-site templating, cutting, bullnosing and hand-finished edge work across the UK.

Working at your site means each piece can be measured against the real setting out, cut to size and adjusted to suit the job as it has actually been built. It removes the reliance on measurements alone and helps keep complex or time-sensitive projects moving.

You can book us for one part of the process or ask us to manage the complete edge, from templating and cutting through to profiling and fitting.

Why on-site?

Made to fit the actual job.

Drawings and dimensions are useful, but the finished setting out is what matters.

Porcelain steps being set out and templated with a square on a client's site

On-site fabrication allows us to work directly from the structure, pool, steps or surrounding landscape. Each piece can be templated, checked and trimmed against the project before it is finished.

This is particularly useful for curved pools, bespoke steps, awkward corners and projects where small differences in the setting out could affect the final joint or edge.

  • Templated against the completed setting out
  • Cut and adjusted at your site
  • Less handling of finished pieces
  • Suitable for complex and bespoke projects
  • One specialist responsible for the complete finish
  • Available across the North West and wider UK
On-site capabilities

Cutting, profiling and finishing.

Our on-site service is available for porcelain and natural stone in a range of thicknesses and finishes.

On-site templating

Final fitting

Where the project requires it, the completed pieces can be checked and set in place as part of the same process.

The process

Measure. Cut. Trim. Install.

For complete on-site projects, we handle the whole edge from the first template to the finished result.

01

Measure

We template against the actual setting out, rather than relying only on a drawing or supplied dimensions.

02

Cut

Each piece is cut to size in porcelain or natural stone using the equipment brought to your site.

03

Trim

Edges are profiled, bullnosed where required and finished by hand.

04

Install

The completed pieces are checked against the project and set in place for a clean, accurate finish.

Typical projects

Where mobile fabrication earns its place.

On-site fabrication is particularly valuable when the shape, size or setting out makes workshop-only production difficult.

Typical projects include:

  • Porcelain and natural stone pool copings
  • Curved and radius pool surrounds
  • Bullnosed and mitred steps
  • Step treads and risers
  • Wall caps and coping stones
  • Bespoke patio and landscape details
  • Large or difficult-to-handle pieces
  • Projects requiring adjustments during installation

For pool and step work, we can template the project, cut the individual pieces and finish the exposed edges at your site.

Who we work with

Built around the way trades work.

Our mobile porcelain and stone fabrication service is used by landscapers, pool installers, tilers, contractors and designers across the UK.

We understand that specialist fabrication often sits within a much larger build. Lead times matter, other trades are waiting and the finish has to match the standard promised to the client.

Working on-site gives us the flexibility to respond to the real project and complete the work without repeatedly sending measurements, templates and materials between the site and workshop.

You also deal directly with the person carrying out the fabrication, from the initial conversation through to the finished edge.

Workshop or on-site?

The right approach for the job.

Not every project needs mobile fabrication.

Straightforward runs and pieces that can be measured, transported and handled safely can be completed at our workshop in Acton Bridge, Cheshire.

On-site fabrication is usually the better option when the work involves:

  • Curves or irregular shapes
  • Existing structures that need templating
  • Bespoke steps or pool surrounds
  • Pieces that require adjustment during fitting
  • Large quantities that are already on site
  • Fixed project deadlines or installation schedules

If a piece is too large or specialised for the equipment used on-site, it can be completed at our workshop. For one-off bespoke and large-format cutting, we also work with an experienced waterjet cutting partner.

Not sure which approach your project needs?

Send us the drawings, dimensions or photographs and we'll recommend whether the work is best completed on-site or at our workshop.
