The information we collect

When you send an enquiry through this website, we ask for:

• Your name
• Your email address and phone number
• Details of your project
• Any drawings or photos you choose to upload

We collect this information only so that we can respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and carry out the work you ask for.

How we use it

We use your contact details and project information to reply to you, prepare quotes and deliver the work. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.

Our lawful basis for this under UK data protection law is that the processing is necessary to take the steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract — responding to your enquiry and preparing your quote — and, once work is agreed, to perform that contract. Where a job involves a specialist partner, such as waterjet cutting, we share only the project details needed to quote for and produce the work — not your contact details, unless you ask us to put you in touch directly.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details and quotes for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and, where work goes ahead, for our business and accounting records. We do not keep personal information longer than we need it for those purposes.

Third-party services

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads.

When you send an enquiry, the form is processed by Static Forms (staticforms.dev), which delivers it to us by email. Your details are handled by them only to pass your message on.

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, so your requests pass through Cloudflare's network when pages load. The contact page includes an embedded Google Map, which loads from Google's servers.

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location, and whether an enquiry was sent. This is measurement, not advertising: we do not use it to build advertising profiles and we do not sell the data. How to opt out is set out in our cookie policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, correct it and ask for it to be deleted. To exercise any of these rights, contact dan@sclfabrication.com.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
